Mr. Amron Hamdi was born and raised in Banda Aceh, where he also spent his grade schools and college years. Upon his graduation from Syiah Kuala University’s English Education Department, Mr. Hamdi, joined the United Nations Development Programme in Banda Aceh in its Aceh Humanitarian Pause Secretariat, the first peace dialog initiative between Free Aceh Movement and Indonesian Government. Briefly worked at the Secretariat, Mr. Hamdi moved to ExxonMobil Oil Indonesia Inc (EMOI) where he spent four and a half years working in the company’s Public Affairs Department. During his tenure in EMOI, he was assigned both in the company's field office in North Aceh and main office in Jakarta where he served in various positions as in media relations, project management and organizational communication.
